Just a reminder that Team Bekah: True Beauty, Never Hurries still needs your support in the Pittsburgh Race for the Cure May 11, 2008!
Bekah is a 23-year-old woman battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma for the second time in her young life.
Team Bekah is our way of honoring Bekah and the many strong souls that join her in her fight against cancer — in all of its forms. The theme, “True Beauty, Never Hurries” is taken from Bekah’s personal blog, a chronicle of her journey.
My family and I participated in this race for the first time last year, and we were overwhelmed by the amount of people who came out to support this cause — people who had breast cancer, were still fighting breast cancer and families who had lost a loved one to the terrible disease.
It is just breathtaking to see all of those different shades of pink in one place!
